Fractals in Physiology

These fractal systems act to protect against injury - and are the key characteristic to the circulatory system - holding the entire structure together despite the strength of pumping. They are the basis for the structure of the lungs. Fractals allow us to live.
Poveglia Italy is supposedly one of the most haunted places in the world. Originally, it was where many off the people who died of the bubonic plague where sent to have their bodies burned to prevent the plague’s spread. Later, a psychiatric hospital was built on top it; the doctor that run it was sick and wanted to test on his patients. Many of them suffered through lobotomies and some of the most hideous forms of torture you could imagine.
